Still on the fence about Windows 7? Here are a couple of pointers that will hopefully make your decision easier.

1. Replace, do not upgrade.  We have found out the hard way that upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7 is no easy task.  If you want to move to Windows 7, we recommend making a clean installation.

2.  It is faster.  If you want a more speedy Windows experience, definitely switch to Windows 7.  The stability and speed of Windows 7 is head and shoulders above Windows XP.  We can help you evaluate whether your hardware meets the minimum requirements and work with you to develop a transition plan.

Preventing Viruses - 4 things to know!

1.  If it looks suspicious, it probably is. Be very distrusting of anything that is sent to you, or that asks you to download something from the internet, particularly if you don't know the source. More often than not, if you didn't ask for it, or can't remember if you asked for it, you probably didn't!

2.  Never accept free offers.  Nothing is free and you'll probably end up paying for it with a system rebuild.

3.  Backup, backup, backup.  Your data is more important than your computer.  Make sure your data is protected from viruses by ensuring that it is backed up regularly.  See our next tip on Remote Backup below.

4.  Use your IT support.  You have IT Support for a reason.  Let us help make sure your system remains clean and if you are tricked into an infection, let us quarantine and exterminate the vermin.
